RICHMOND, Ky. - Eastern Kentucky University junior placekicker Jason Martin, 6-2, 215-pound native of Bakersfield, CA, was chosen as the Ohio Valley Conference Specialist of the Week for his effort in Eastern's 33-28 loss to No. 2 ranked Tennessee State University last Saturday.

Martin established a collegiate-career best with his first field goal, a 42-yarder. He later added 22-yard and 35-yard field goals, making good on all three of his field goal tries. He was 1-2 on extra points.

Eastern, 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the OVC, travels to Murray State, 5-3, 4-1, Saturday at 12:33 p.m. EST for a regionally-televised game on FOX Sports Net South.
