Aug. 28 - "The Drive for 300" begins Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. at Roy Kidd Stadium as the Eastern Kentucky University Colonels start the 2000 football season by hosting the Glenville State College Pioneers.

Feb. 2 - Eastern Kentucky University head football coach Roy Kidd has announced the signing of 16 high school and junior college recruits for the upcoming 2000 season.  "We went after kids with speed, regardless of the position they played," said Kidd who will begin his 37th season at the EKU helm this fall.

Nov. 24 - Eastern Kentucky University closed its 1999 season with a 7-4 overall record after Saturday's disappointing 20-14 loss to Eastern Illinois University.
