ROY KIDD FOOTBALL CAMP SCHEDULED FOR JUNE

RICHMOND, Ky. - The 18th annual Roy Kidd Football Camp at Eastern Kentucky University will be held June 13-17 on campus.

The semi-contact camp, which includes work in helmets and shoulder pads, concentrates on fundamental drills for players, age 12-18.

"The aim of our camp is to give our campers the finest football instruction possible and, at the same time, give them a week full of fun and fond memories," said Kidd. "We have an excellent staff to instruct our campers in the use of proper football techniques."

The Roy Kidd Football Camp complies with pre-high school and high school National Federation rules and players may participate without jeopardizing any eligibility. Any team coming to camp as a group may not practice as a unit, nor may any pre-high school or high school coach take part in coaching his own team.

Campers will be housed in O'Donnell Hall, an air-conditioned dormitory on the EKU campus. Meals will be served in the Powell Building Student Center. Drills and team work will be conducted at the Presnell Building football facility, featuring three grass football fields and complete training room facilities.

Campers will be checked into camp from 2:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, in the lobby of O'Donnell Hall. Fees for the overnight camper are $250.00, while the day camper charges are $150.00. Each registration must include a non-refundable $50.00 deposit.

Those interested in attending the camp may write for a free camp brochure to: The Roy Kidd Football Camp, Eastern Kentucky University, 218 Begley Building, Richmond, KY 40475 or call (606) 622-2146.
