One Letter... After making a very positive contribution at safety in his redshirt freshman year in 1998, Nick was moved to strongside linebacker this past spring... tied for team lead and was third in the OVC in interceptions with three last season... best game last season came in season's finale when he totaled five tackles and six assists in the come-from-behind win over Eastern Illinois... member of Winners Club... has gotten bigger and stronger... with his secondary experience, he should give the linebacker corps the athletic ability needed to improve the group... made improvements throughout the spring and adjusted well... with more repetition, he should make larger improvements... has exceptionally strong lower body as evidenced by a 515-pound squat in the off-season testing... Colonel coaches are expecting a big year from Nick... was redshirted  in 1997... did a great job adjusting to the change... will push for a starting position... played football, basketball and baseball in high school... was a member of the 1997 Kentucky High School All-Star Football Team... started four years for the Golden Lions at quarterback, running for 2,423 yards and 40 TD's and throwing for 2,107 yards and 23 TD's... graduate of Garrard County High School.
